Today was a bright, joyful day at Hollywood Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I had a picnic lunch with my friend Reagan. Afterwards, we waded in the cool river, jumped on sharp and slippery rocks, and played a short game of tag. I climbed on the slide so she could not tag me. Then, she scared me and I fell down about 8 feet. I landed on the side of my foot. I hurt my foot but I really hope it's not sprained. Surprisingly, I did not cry and no one saw because a wall was separating me and the adults so I limped over to them and wiped dirt off my face.
Even a good day can be sprinkled with a little bad. It's important to remember that no matter how bad things get, it could always be worse. Most importantly, the lesson I learned is no matter what happens, keep calm and stay brave.
